Hello, I am CSUN Grad with a background in Child Development. I have been working with children since 2018. As well as have been a lifeguard and swim instructor since the summer of 2018 and recently for the past two summers I have also been teaching aquarobics. My love for the water was born during High School when I joined the swim team and the water polo team. Once, I graduated High School I knew I wanted to be in the water in any shape or form, so I decided to become a lifeguard and swim instructor for all ages. I’m from Chicago. I’ve had a beautiful relationship with the water since I was a child. I was on the swim team in high school and the water polo club in my neighborhood park where I first learned to swim as a child. Years later at that same park I became a Lifeguard for the Chicago Park District. I later lifeguarded and became a Swim Instructor at Richard J Daley College and also at the YMCA in Illinois and in Hollywood, California. Since 2002 I’ve been a Behavior Specialist, Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor and CPR Instructor at a non public school in Cheviot Hills (West LA). I work with emotionally disturbed children who are diagnosed with Autism, bipolar disorder, ADHD and a host of other Mental illness and psychiatric disorders. I love the water, it’s one of the most consistent things in my life. I also love the joy of someone overcoming their fear of water and finally embracing it.

Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am MindBody Fitness Coach and have been a Lifeguard for over 15 years where I supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules and policies to assure safety. I love teaching swimming techniques to swimmers of all ages and skill levels along with Coaching parents in developing basic skills to teach their child how to swim in a Mommy& Me class. Hey I’m Xerxes! I’m an auto mechanic/ lifeguard (as you probably might’ve guessed) and I’ve lived in Los Angeles my whole life. I chose this career because of my interest in the medical field, and swimming of course. Swimming in the ocean has been my favorite weekend activity for quite some time, so I’ve been gaining experience as a lifeguard so that eventually I can patrol the California coast.
