1. Please pay for lifeguard services directly on this website. Lifeguards do not accept checks at the party. This keeps our accounting clear and streamlined. If you pay only a deposit for your party, you will need to revisit this site to pay the balance due after the party. We ask that you do so within 4 days of the event. If you still need to pay by check, please call our office for our address, 818-530-4117 or toll free 866-530-4117.
2. Cancellations must be made giving proper notice which is at least 48 hours in advance by calling our office, 818-530-4117 or toll free 866-530-4117. 100% Refund is given, with no processing fees if 48 hours or more notice is given. If less than 48 hours notice, 50% of your booking total is refunded. In case of bad or dangerous weather conditions arise, feel free to reschedule or get a full refund. Refunds are issued only by the same method as they were paid.
3. Lifeguard ratio to swim guests. Our general rule of thumb is 1 lifeguard to 15 swim guests. This can be stretched to 1 guard to 20 swim guests, if there are no non-swimmer children in the pool. If there is a mixture of guest ages and mixture of swimmers and non-swimmers, we strongly suggest the 1:15 rule. If a lifeguard or lifeguards gets to your party, and the ratio far exceeds a safe limit ratio as determined by the lifeguard, they will inform the host and can either call for another lifeguard to be billed to the client (if available), limit the number of guests in the pool at a time, or remove themselves from the party at full pay if the other options have not remedied the situation. This rule has not been an issue before, but we must notify hosts anyway. Thank you for supporting a safe event.
4. Lifeguards conducting entertainment activities : Our lifeguards are all highly personable and intend to have the kids have a fun, safe experience in the pool. Their key job is watching the pool completely. If the lifeguard feels confident in the swimming skills of all the kids present, he or she can coordinate some relay races, sharks and minnows games, etc. but must maintain supervision from the deck for safety of all. If you are hiring two lifeguards, more flexibility in duties could be arranged with prior approval from our office. We encourage hosts to provide pool toys like foam "noodles", see-through rafts, dive rings etc, however, large non-see through rafts pose a safety issue, and cannot be used with us.
